Application Requirements

The Academy at Nola Dunn Enrollment Information
1. Enrollment is open to all students who reside within the Burleson Independent School District boundaries.
2. A school of choice lottery application is required to apply. Students are selected through a lottery process and offered placement if chosen.
3. Tuition fees nor academic requirements are required to apply.
4. Specific campus uniforms are required.
5. Every enrolled family must complete 10 volunteer hours per school year.
6. School bus transportation is NOT available for our campus.
7. Every enrolled family is required to attend two student-led parent teacher conferences a year.
8. The Academy at Nola Dunn does have an after-school childcare program available, but separate registration is required once you accept a spot at our campus.

School of Choice Lottery Application Procedure:
1. Parents will need to complete an online application for each child they wish to enroll to be included in the lottery process for enrollment into the Academy at Nola Dunn. To learn more and submit an application, visit Choice Schools & Student Transfers.
2. Parents are required to have a valid email address in order for the application to be processed. Once you are at the registration website, you will be prompted to set up an account where you will answer several questions pertaining to the child you are applying for. Please note that if you are applying for more than one child, you will need to create an account for each child.
3. Parents are NOT required to attend an informational night, but it is highly encouraged. We would love to meet our prospective families for the 2026-2027 school year.
2026-2027 Informational School Tours will take place on January 27 and January 29 at 9:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
2026-2027 Informational School Information Nights will take place on January 27 and January 29 at 6:00 p.m. in the library.
Please note: Families are invited to attend BISD Elementary Choice Night on February 10 to discover the elementary education opportunities available to students and learn about in-district and out-of-district transfer options. In-district and out-of-district families are invited to attend.
