  • BrightBytes Survey

Hello Parents & Guardians of BISD 3rd-12th grade students,

Burleson ISD is partnering with BrightBytes, an educational software company, in order to learn more about our students’ school and home technology use for learning. The information gathered helps us to make improvements to our District Technology Plan, apply for grants, and create opportunities for our students. For that reason, we are reaching out to ask you to take part in the questionnaire. Your participation is essential in helping us form a more complete picture of technology use for learning in your students’ lives. Please know that all of your responses will remain anonymous to protect your privacy.

Please follow the link below to take this brief survey about technology use, and thank you for your continued support. the survey should take approximately 10 minutes.

The deadline to take the survey is Friday, November 18th at midnight.

We’d also like our students to have an opportunity to take the survey. If your student has already filled out the survey at school, there’s no need for them to do it a second time.

If you are a BISD teacher AND the parent of a BISD student, you may take the survey under both roles. Please complete the teacher survey for YOUR campus, and the parent survey for your students campus. Thank you!

  • New Circulation Plan Effective Tuesday, Oct. 11th

    Dear Academy Families,

The city of Burleson is making changes to the streets around the Academy at Nola Dunn in order to create a new traffic pattern during school drop-off and pick-up hours. The City’s new traffic plan focuses on student safety while relieving traffic congestion on Ellison and Dobson streets. Additionally, these changes will allow for quicker student pick-up and drop-off times.

Beginning October 11, from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 3:40 p.m., Eldred, Lawson, Bufford, and Clark streets will become one-way streets. Scott Street remains the same. This means drivers on Scott Street will turn west onto Eldred or Miller. Drivers will not be able to turn left from Miller Street, into the South drop-off/pick-up during school hours.

A map of the new traffic circulation is attached. You can also pick up a copy in the front office. Please review the new circulation plan in advance to allow for a smooth transition on October 11.

I thank you for your patience and understanding during this transition.
